Facebook and Instagram are up and running again! They experienced a brief outage on March 5.

Meta spokesperson Andy Stone acknowledged a recent technical glitch that briefly disrupted their services, assuring swift resolution for affected users. Apologizing for any inconvenience caused, Stone highlighted Meta’s commitment to promptly addressing such challenges, emphasizing a smooth user experience.

The acknowledgment and quick resolution illustrate Meta’s dedication to user satisfaction amidst inevitable technical issues, showcasing their proactive approach in managing unforeseen challenges in the digital landscape.

Instagram and Facebook are back


Users faced difficulties loading apps, sending messages, or refreshing feeds on Facebook and Instagram. Users mysteriously got logged out globally, affecting India and other parts of the world Tuesday evening. It caused a bit of a stir!

At 8:30 pm on Tuesday, Facebook and Instagram faced glitches. Users received frustrating messages like ‘Log in again,’ ‘Session expired,’ and ‘Couldn’t refresh feed.’ An inconvenience for many!

On Tuesday, outage tracking site Downdetector.com highlighted widespread issues affecting Meta’s platforms, Facebook and Instagram, with tens of thousands of users reporting problems. At 9:23 pm, Instagram had 31,493 outage reports, and Facebook had 24,193 at 9:09 pm.

Overall, Downdetector.com recorded over 300,000 Facebook outage reports and 20,000 Instagram reports. Additionally, Meta’s status dashboard indicated issues with WhatsApp Business API, with 200 outage reports on Downdetector.

Responding to the situation, Meta spokesperson Andy Stone acknowledged the challenges, stating, “We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now.” The outage stirred frustrations globally, emphasizing the impact social media has on communication and the swift response needed in today’s digital landscape.

Users experienced disruptions, with error messages like ‘Log in again,’ highlighting the widespread nature of the issue. As Meta addresses the problem, the incident underscores the critical role these platforms play in daily communication and the ripple effect their temporary unavailability causes worldwide.
