A major Diwali fire incident in Ballabgarh–Faridabad sparked panic in the densely populated Uncha Gaon area late Sunday night. Around 11 PM, burnt cracker debris reportedly fell into a closed garbage dump premise near Swastik Gas Agency. Triggering a sudden blaze that quickly spread within the open-roofed compound.
As the premise was locked from the outside, surrounded by residential houses and parked vehicles, making the situation especially risky. A local passerby, noticing the flames, immediately alerted the fire department and nearby residents. Efforts to identify and contact the premise owner took several minutes, by which time the fire had grown intense and wild.
Meanwhile the residents acted swiftly, moving parked vehicles to safer spots and sharing the fire location via WhatsApp to guide firefighters to the site quickly. Two fire brigades from local Fire Department arrived and battled the flames for over an hour, finally containing the fire around 12:30 AM.



While no injuries or casualties were reported, the extent of property damage is yet to be officially confirmed. Fire department officials have not issued a formal statement, but an investigation is underway to determine the cause and evaluate losses.
However the locals gathered in large numbers as the blaze lit up the Diwali night sky, underscoring the dangers of improper disposal of fireworks and cracker debris in residential areas.
