The 51-inch-tall statue of Lord Ram, crafted by the talented sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru. Beautifully captures the essence of a five-year-old deity standing gracefully on a lotus.
Meticulously detailed, this idol was skillfully carved from a single block of stone, showcasing the remarkable talent and craftsmanship that went into bringing the divine image to life.
The spectacular gathering included approximately 7,000 very important personalities from various parts of the country, including actors, athletes, business tycoons, and politicians.
The Ram mandir complex
Designed in the traditional Nagara architectural style, is a marvel in itself. It extends 380 feet in the east-west direction. Boasting a width of 250 feet and an impressive height of 161 feet.
The temple’s vertical structure is composed of floors, each standing at a height of 20 feet. It is supported by a remarkable assembly of 392 pillars and adorned with 44 gates, creating a stunning visual spectacle.
Before the ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, PM Modi diligently observed an 11-day ‘anushthan.’ He followed a disciplined routine, which included sleeping on the floor and beginning his day with coconut water. In preparation for the ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir. He visited several temples across India and took a sacred dip at the Rameswaram ‘Angi theerth’ beach.
After actively participating in the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, PM Modi addressed the gathered audience in Ayodhya. Offering his congratulations and marking the end of a century-long wait on Monday.
