It is presented by Viacom18 Studios in partnership with Siddharth and his wife Mamata Anand’s production company, Marflix Pictures.
The film’s fighter 2024 official summary reveals that it revolves around a newly formed elite unit called Air Dragons, commissioned by the Air Headquarters to tackle militant activities in the Srinagar Valley.
“They are the frontline responders to any hostile situation, consisting of top combat aviators selected from the IAF. ‘Fighter’ tells the story of the Air Dragons, who dedicate themselves to serving the nation, facing both internal and external challenges along the way,” the statement explained.

Fighter also features Akshay Oberoi, Karan Singh Grover, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. In the film, Hrithik portrays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, known by his aviator call sign “Patty.”
Speaking to PTI in January before the film’s theatrical release, the 50-year-old actor shared his experience of wearing the uniform: “The uniform holds a certain magic. In my career, I’ve worn three costumes that made me feel empowered.
Like in ‘Krrish,’ wearing the superhero cape gave me strength. In ‘Lakshya,’ donning the Indian Army officer’s uniform filled me with a sense of duty and strength. And in ‘Fighter,’ wearing the uniform made me feel a weight of responsibility and strength. It’s hard to replicate the power you feel from wearing a uniform. It’s a surreal experience.”
