Ayodhya’s Renaissance: Prim Minister Narendra Modi Unveils State-of-the-Art Railway Station and Airport for a Spectacular City Transformation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a noteworthy entrance into Ayodhya on Saturday, engaging in a vibrant roadshow on his way to the railway station. In a momentous event, he officially inaugurated the Ayodhya Dham junction and unveiled the city’s new airport.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with enthusiasm by a multitude of artists from different corners of the country as he entered Ayodhya on Saturday. He marked the occasion by inaugurating the revamped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and unveiling the city’s new airport.

During his route to the railway station, the Prime Minister conducted a vibrant roadshow, featuring more than 1,400 performers presenting folk art and cultural programs on 40 stages along the Ram Path.

Subsequently, the Prime Minister took part in a public event, overseeing the inauguration of numerous development projects exceeding a total worth of Rs 15,700 crore. The consecration ceremony for the Ram temple is slated for January 22.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ayodhya Dham Junction and virtually launched two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat trains. Following the station’s inauguration, the Prime Minister, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and others, conducted a thorough tour of the facility. Vaishnaw provided Modi with a comprehensive briefing about the station.

Officials reported that Phase-I of the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station’s redevelopment has been successfully completed, with a total cost exceeding Rs 240 crore. The three-story station building is well-equipped with modern features, including lifts, escalators, food plazas, shops for religious offerings, cloak rooms, child care facilities, and waiting halls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, following the inauguration of the Ayodhya Railway Station. This impressive airport, constructed by the Airports Authority of India in partnership with the Government of Uttar Pradesh through an MoU signed in April of the previous year, signifies a noteworthy advancement in the city’s development.

Phase 1 of this cutting-edge airport has been completed at a cost exceeding Rs 1450 crore. The terminal building, spanning an area of 6500 sqm, is designed to cater to around 10 lakh passengers annually. Noteworthy is the terminal’s facade, featuring architectural elements inspired by the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Additionally, the interior is adorned with local art, paintings, and murals, vividly depicting the life of Bhagwan Shri Ram.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and initiated the groundwork for numerous development projects, collectively exceeding a value of Rs 15,700 crore in the state. This includes initiatives totaling about Rs 11,100 crore aimed at the progress of Ayodhya and its surrounding regions, along with projects valued at approximately Rs 4,600 crore addressing diverse endeavors across Uttar Pradesh.

Upon reaching the holy town, Prime Minister Modi led a lively roadshow from the airport to the railway station, where a substantial crowd had gathered along the route to extend a warm welcome. Greeting the people from his car, Modi even opened the vehicle’s door at one point to reciprocate waves. The crowd responded with enthusiasm, showering flower petals and chanting praises. Along the route, the Prime Minister also had the opportunity to witness cultural performances by various troupes.

Less than a month before the consecration of the upcoming Ram temple, Prime Minister Modi’s visit takes center stage. The impressive Ram temple is currently under construction in Ayodhya, and the consecration ceremony is set for January 22, an event the Prime Minister plans to attend.

With a surge of people expected to converge on Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony, the city is gearing up for the significant day.

Along a prominent street in the sacred city, sun-themed columns called ‘Surya Stambhs’ have been erected, aligning with the routes of the Prime Minister’s VVIP movement. This road, Dharm Path, near Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, is witnessing the installation of interpretation walls at regular intervals on both sides, offering insights into the life of Lord Ram.
